Barbieland

This morning, on our way to school, Mads asks me if she could have a real live unicorn. I reply, "Maybe someday," not wanting to squash her fantasy of unicorns really existing. She then says, "I don't know if they live here...in Arizona." I ask, "Why, have you never seen a real one here?" She obviously answers no. So I say, "Where do you think they live? In New York? In Texas?" She responds "No....I think they live in Barbieland."

Playmates

Lola and Madeline are playing with each other regularly now. The other day they got into the bag of beads. Together they dressed me up. Nice gypsy look!

Reading Glasses

Papa and Grandma left their glasses over the other night. Mads picked them up and thought they'd be fun to wear for a while. It's reminiscent of Jeff's early childhood glasses days.

Sick

As is fitting, Lola started the first day of school with a runny nose. Maria made some chicken soup tonight and all Lola wanted was the broth. She kept saying, "More...mmm...more...mmm"

money, money,money....money

Today at the park, this sweet little old man, with a thick foreign accent gave each of the girls a dollar. He said it was to put in their bucket. Sweet gesture from a stranger which made all of the girls happy!
