City Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to a "farm" to visit a pumpkin patch. It was in Glibert, which is a suberb of Phoenix. We took a hayride around the perimeter of the farm and saw the new housing developments and the new Spanish style office building that's being built. Quite a non-rural farm experience. The kids had fun though. Sorry no pumpkin pictures here....I used my film camera for that!

Ladybug, Please

Tonight at dinner, I had grilled some red peppers. I didn't put any on the kids' plates, but as soon as Lola saw it, she insisted on having some ladybugs. I see her point.

Lipgloss

Every little girl loves lipgloss...

Usual Scene

This has been a common sight for Madeline for well over a year now, but recently Lola has joined her. They just grab some printer paper and the colors are always out (unless they are removed due to Lola coloring on everything BUT the paper!) It's great to see how their art matures with them.

Glitter Glam

I picked up Lola from school today and she had the most sparkly crown of all the kids....plus she was just about the only one who still had it on. She's definitely my dress up girl.

Baby Stroller

Madeline was pushing Lola around today in this toy baby stroller. Lola is pushing 30 pounds...I can't imagine that it's meant to hold that much weight, but they sure did have fun!

Policeman

In general, I have been impressed with what Madeline has been learning at school this year. Today she came home from school with a star badge. I ask her about it and she says that they learned about policemen. I ask her about it and she says that some policemen carry guns. And they carry guns to keep us safe (so far so good, no?)....from robots with fire eyes. huh?
