Bug Umbrella

Madeline brought this invention to my attention. "If we dig a big hole, we can put it in the ground and then if a berkle bug comes up and it rains, it can sit underneath it and not get wet." She also said it's for pretend dogs (beanie baby puppies!)...but it's ok if his body gets wet....his head will stay dry.

Bubbles...to eat?!?!?!

I was trying to teach Lola how to blow bubbles with the bubble dip-stick, but she was insistent on blowing the stick while it was IN her mouth. I figured after the first taste of soap, she'd quit...but not my little lola!

Almost Summer Time

The pool is still a little cold, but Madeline has been playing in the hose. Doesn't she look cute in that swimsuit?

Dress Up

I know I just need to accept it, but Lola really is growing up so fast. She'll now walk up to me with some dress up clothes in hand saying, "pees....pees" meaning please put this on me.

Totally 80's

Madeline raided Maria's closet and pulled together this ensemble. Here she is cleaning the cars and the big rock in the yard.

Rodeo Day

Today was the annual rodeo day at school. The flier said to come and have a picnic lunch. So I go to school, get Mads out of her classroom and open up our blanket for the picninc. Then Madeline asked, "Mom, where's our food?" Good question...for some reason I assumed that food would be provided. Thankfully some friends shared with us and we got to enjoy the farm animals and even got to sit on a real saddle!
